Another beautiful weekend has come and gone and now we’re on to a new Monday. After picking out and planting some pretty blooms for my outdoor pots & gardens, I couldn’t help but have flowers on the mind. Browsing Pinterest for inspiration, I found this great quote: “A flower does not think of competing with the flower next to it… it just blooms.”
I took a moment to stop and think about what I just read. We see celebrities on the TV, in magazines, and endless outfit inspirations from bloggers on Pinterest and Instagram. Sometimes we see the luxury items they wear and wonder: why can’t I have that? Well, it’s time to stop that mindset. We are all blessed with our own lives and abilities, there is no need to compete. We should lift each other up and truly be happy for where everyone else is in their life. We have all worked so hard to be where we are! =) So my motivation for this week is to be your beautiful self and bloom without comparing yourself to the others around you! <3

I’ve read that quote before and it really stuck with me. I feel that we as a society today are always comparing ourselves to others instead of just trying to better ourselves.
I also love the quote “Butterflies can’t see their wings. They can’t see how truly beautiful they are, but everyone else can. People are like that as well.”
